Irrfan to host Indian premiere of Amy

Actor Irrfan will host the Indian premiere of director friend Asif Kapadia’s upcoming documentary Amy, based on the life and death of British singer Amy Winehouse.

“I am glad to host this screening for my dear friend Asif and really looking forward to the film,” said the <g data-gr-id="16">Piku</g> star.

As Kapadia will be out of India during its premiere tomorrow, Irrfan will take over as the host for the event. Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, actor Arjun Kapoor, filmmakers Karan Johar and Anurag Basu are expected to be present at the screening.
