Indian state partners with US agency for smart cities

Southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh has joined hands with US Trade Development Agency (USTDA) to develop smart cities in the state. State Chief Secretary IYR Krisha Rao and Director of the US Trade Development Agency (USTDA) Leocadia I. Zak signed an MoU in this regard in national capital New Delhi the other day, official sources here said. As part of the agreement, USTDA would contribute funding for feasibility studies/pilots, study tours, workshops and training, they said.
