India aiming for Gold in football

India will lock horns with Nepal at the 12th South Asian Games here on Monday, as the country's men’s football team face their counterparts from the Himalayan nation in the finals.

The India U-23 team beat Bangladesh 3-0 to breeze into the final of men's football on Saturday. Speaking on Monday’s challenge, Indian coach Lee Johnson said, "Nepal are a very fit side. They had an inspirational victory against Maldives and will come hard at us." The present Indian squad mostly has players from 2nd Division of the I-League.
