The capital witnessed the launch of a new range of stoles, handbags and wallets by Oriflame in association with Ritu Kumar, a veteran of world fame in the Indian fashion industry. On 6 August, Oriflame launched their new limited collection of floral and bird print items unveiled by a signature fashion show. The gala event also hosted a musical extravaganza performance by Hari and Sukhmani, the dynamic music duo from The Dewarists fame.

Oriflame, a Sweden based company is one of India’s largest and leading direct selling beauty product company. It has a huge range of network of retail outlets all across India with a presence in the country for 17 successful years. The company recently came up with a new brand promise- Your Dream, Our Inspiration.

The evening interestingly had an added surprise element with renowned models like, Indrani Dasgupta, Sonalika Sahai, Tina Chatwal, Donna Masih, Shipra Malika and Aanchal Oberoi  walking the ramp in the collection items. 

The presence of  Niklas Frisk, Vice President and Head of Oriflame South Asia and Managing Director, along with Sharmili Rajpur, Marketing Director Oriflame India, added color to the launch night.

The basic idea behind this project is to reach out to women globally by offering to them access to a choice of accessories, fashion cosmetics etc that would help in enhancing their personalities. A special team was brought together with the help of Oriflame and Ritu Kumar to design and create this unique combination of beauty, style and Indian tradition. Ritu Kumar was awarded with the Padma Shri in 2013 for exceptional and distinguished service to the fashion industry. 

She has bridged the gap between long-standing tradition and modern designs making the collection look trendy and fashionable in order to compliment both, the ethnic as well as western clothing.

 The fashionable collection available only for a limited period is exclusively retailed through the Oriflame stores from September onwards. 

The coming months of 2013, beyond doubt will keep ladies of all ages and taste looking forward to bringing home fashion and style with a designer tag, a collection to cherish and flaunt in their own circle of friends.
