In Apple’s new iOS update, Siri understands Indian English

The latest update for Apple’s iOS operating system from iPhones and iPads now provides Indian English support to its digital personal assistant Siri marking the country’s growing importance as a market for the firm.
The US-based tech giant released the latest update late on Wednesday night, which among other upgrades included improved performance, bug fixes and a redesigned emoji keyboard. Releasing the iOS 8.3 update, the firm said: “Additional language and country support for Siri: English (India, New Zealand), Danish (Denmark), Dutch (Netherlands), Portuguese (Brazil), Russian (Russia), Swedish (Sweden), Thai (Thailand), Turkish (Turkey).” It also provides improved performance for messages, Wi-Fi, control centre, Safari, third-party keyboards.
