Indian Medical Association (IMA) has written a letter to Narendra Modi and health minister J P Nadda urging to install latest technology in forensic medical field and to have forensic lab in every state. “In Sunanda Pushkar murder case, the viscera have to be sent to a foreign country. India boosts of medical tourism but does not have even proper technology.
As a result, the police may have been declaring low profile cases as suicide or murder without proper knowledge,” said K K Aggarwal, secretary general of IMA. The IMA has decided to set up a ‘Model Health Village’ which can be replicated nationally by both the government and NGOs.
