ICSE, ISC exam evaluations to go digital

Aiming to be more accurate in collating and publishing ICSE and ISC results, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations will introduce a digital pen and tablet-based technology for the examiners to evaluate answer scripts from next year. “The Council is planning to introduce the Live Ink Character Recognition (LICR) Solution technology while evaluating answer scripts by the examiners,” Chief Executive and Secretary of <g data-gr-id="11">CISCE</g> Gerry <g data-gr-id="12">Aarathoon</g> said here on Thursday.

“LICR is a technology which incorporates a re-purposed digital pen and tab used by examiners to evaluate answer scripts and help publish results in a shorter time,” he said. The technology will be accurate and would reduce the recheck requests. It was planned to be introduced from 2016, <g data-gr-id="14">Aarathoon</g> added.
