They were travelling in air-conditioned coach of Lucknow Mail where the officer allegedly misbehaved with the girl. While the arrested bureaucrat has been identified as the Special Secretary [Technical Education] with the UP government, the victim is an executive with Google India. According to her, the official molested her onboard the train when she was travelling with her mother-in-law.

The official has, however, denied the charge and said they have been concocted by the woman after he had a tiff with her over luggage-keeping.

A case was registered on the basis of the complaint under sections 294 and 354 of Indian Penal Code [IPC] while the matter was being probed, Pandey said.
