I will meet Sheila to sort out vexed issues: Maken

A day after former Delhi chief minister blamed Congress’ campaign chief Ajay Maken for the party’s dismal loss in Assembly elections, party President Sonia Gandhi intervened chiding party workers for playing blame-game over the loss, Maken told reporters on Friday, “I will personally go and meet her (Sheila Dikshit), and ask her where we went wrong so we can take care in future.”

Addressing a press conference at AICC headquarters Maken speaking on the criticism by Dikshit said, “I will personally seek an appointment with her and meet her and find out where we went wrong if she feels as such so that we can take care that in future such lapses do not occur.” He also said that even after Congress President has said that restraint should be shown, if someone is not following Congress President’s orders or advise, then I think it is for the concerned people in the party to look at it and take appropriate action and decision. He added. “Myself, PC Chacko and AS Lovely - submitted our resignations, no decision has been taken on our resignations as yet.  As soon as a decision is taken, we will inform you.”

“The electorate of Delhi wanted to give Kejriwal full 5 years’ term to prove the success of his government and they thought 49 days were not sufficient. Everyone voted for him,” he said about Kejriwal’s victory in Delhi.
