I can never be fake, says Gauhar Khan

“One should always be real and this is what I am loved for,” is what actor Gauhar Khan has to say about herself.  She was in Chandigarh to promote Videocon Telecom for which she had been appointed as a new brand ambassador for the northern region, replacing Punjabi singer cum actor Gippy Garewal.

Happy to be the part of the brand, Bigg Boss 7 winner and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3 — first runner-up said that it is the brand with which she is associated with since childhood. “This is one of the brands that I had grown up with. I am too excited as I would be entering homes through their commercials and hoardings.  Also would be visiting Europe as a performer with the Videocon team this summer,” Gauhar affirmed. About her stint in the reality show Bigg Boss Gauhar stated, “It was the real me that the audience liked the most about me. I can never be fake and this is what I would <g data-gr-id="34">advice</g> to all that they should show their actual side.”

Gauhar is upset with the fact that celebs are being scanned for promoting various products thanks to Maggi fiasco. “Endorsing a brand does not mean that the celebrity would go to the labs and check the products. Their job is just to ensure that the product reaches the target consumers,” she mentioned and added, “I am certain I made the right choice.”

Gauhar is also enjoying her stint with Punjabi film industry. Though her debut film Oh Yaara <g data-gr-id="41">Ainvayi Ainvayi</g> Lut Gaya was not able to leave the expected mark in viewers mind but she is happy that her work was appreciated. “People loved my work and congratulated me for the same. My hard work has paid off. This has inspired me to work on the language,” she said and added, “Talks are on for few of the <g data-gr-id="40">projects</g> but it would be too soon to speak about them. The film has increased my fan following.” Her next Hindi flick goes on the floor this August and the shoot for an item song will be held next week. She is also planning to launch her show on TV where she can explore more of herself.
