‘I am the Tiger’

I am the Tiger initiative brought together nine colleges from Delhi University for a five-day project titled I am the Tiger Nine College Conversation Run. 

On the inaugural day, all the participants and teachers took pledge to protect tigers and the environment. I am the Tiger movie was screened and the audience was introduced to the project. This initiative had started off with a riveting performance by Shivani Wazir last month. 

The vice chancellor of Delhi University shared some wonderful tiger stories and applauded the method of using performance, art and sport as a means of communication with students. Miranda House college, which already has a paper recycling plant on campus, announced to implement a garden waste recycling plant. 

During five days all the colleges took part in various thematic activities like banner making, face painting, painting competition, cultural shows among others. The highlight of the concluding day was a run titled Conservation Run where six physically disabled participants took to the tracks.

The five-day program concluded with prize distribution, poetry session by Amit Dhiya Badsha and I am the Tiger play performed by Shivani Wazir, the initiator of the cause.
