I am done with directing: Diablo

Screenwriter Diablo Cody feels being behind the lens is not her game and she struggled while directing Paradise.

Cody, 37, who gained success as screenwriter of Juno, Young Adult and United States of Tara, made her directorial debut in 2013 with “Paradise” starring Russell Brand and Octavia Spencer, said The Hollywood Reporter.

“I am retired from directing. I don’t think I possess the leadership qualities required to be a director,” she said.

The Academy Award-winning scribe most recently wrote the script for Meryl Streep <g data-gr-id="13">starrer</g> Ricki and the Flash and is working on Sony’s live-action comedy Barbie wants to stick to her creative job.

“I’m just going to stay home in my sweatpants from now on,” she said.
