Hug stops here! Net loss for Digvijaya Singh?

The social media on Tuesday went viral with intimate photographs and videos of Digvijaya Singh and a known mediaperson. Whether the photographs are authentic or morphed could not be verified.
But videos titled ‘Digvijaya Singh has an extra-marital affair’ and ‘Digvijaya Singh’s secret/second marriage’ became an online rage. The woman in question is married to an associate professor at the prestigious Indian Institute of Mass Communication. According to grapevine, their marriage is on the rocks and Digvijaya Singh has only made matters worse. There were several posts, as soon as the images went viral, inquiring if the woman was divorced yet or separated from her husband.
The uploaded photographs show the politician and the journalist hugging each other. Also, there is a video compilation of their photographs and another video which has her sitting next to Digvijaya during a puja.
The text of the puja video reads - ‘See how Congress Leader Digvijay Singh has a secret wife who is also a Rajya Sabha TV Anchor. Now Digvijaya Singh should first answer about his secret illegitimate wife and then talk about other’s wife.’
Twitter was abuzz with trending hashtags #DigvijayExposed with users posting responses like: ‘Digvijay should come clean on his relationship, please’. ‘u always talk abt #SnoopGate will u ans abt ur relationship’ and ‘digvijaya_28 was ready to challenge Namo....but she told him to gv opportunity 2 Ajay Rai.’
The Congress party dissociated itself from the controversy saying this video was morphed, while the BJP spokespersons said they knew about the photographs and videos but the principal opposition party has not taken any decision whether to issue a statement or not on the matter.
