Hues of love

Artist Kumar Umesh recently held a solo painting exhibition at  Hotel  Taj Palace that commenced on February 23 and was on till March 1. 

Love and wait are the two universal emotions , each one of us has experienced them in some or the other way. Umesh has worked upon these ethnic themes as he has shown images where a lady is waiting for her beloved. This thing about the works make them more universally appealing as a person from any city or country can understand, enjoy, connect as well as appreciate the art. 

Knowingly or unknowingly art always reflects the places from were artist belong or has seen in his earlier stages and which left an impact on him. In the show one can see the beautiful ghats of Banaras, old Delhi streets and monuments. He created a magical effect by simply potraying some beautiful emotions which come out directly from heart.

Umesh said “Born in the family of artists, it was quite obvious to indulge into this beautiful world of art. I have always been trying to carry forward the legacy of my father as well as the legacy of great painter who revolutionlised the Indian art Raja Ravi Verma.”
