HUDCO signs MoU with CIDC

Housing & Urban Development Corporation Ltd. [HUDCO] and Construction Industry Development Council, New Delhi, [CIDC] have reached an understanding to work together by utilizing their respective strengths for Employment Oriented Skill Development and Training of Youth by supporting training/ capacity building programmes of Skill and livelihood development for the benefit of the poor under CSR activities.

In this respect the HUDCO Senior ED [Projects] and CIDC DG signed an MoU on Monday in the presence of HUDCO Chairman and Managing Director [CMD] VP Baligar.

The areas of mutual cooperation include training and capacity building through arrangement of programmes for Employment Oriented Skill Development and Training of Youth belonging to Economically Weaker Section of the Society with emphasis on SC/ST/OBC categories and women in various trades of construction industry to be selected from all over India/ selected States /areas as identified by HUDCO in a time bound manner with the several objectives. The aim is to provide quality training programme with all necessary resources and facilities in place. The targets also include practical training/ hands on exposure in the identified skills related to the construction trades to trainees at the identified training centres/sites.

Finally, testing certification of trainees and after successful completion of training, all trainees are to be employed according to their skills in the suitable establishments will also be included in the programme. HUDCO will provide financial assistance for the activities /programmes approved by it under its CSR activities.
