Hidco launches floating restaurant at Eco Park

The Housing and Infrastructure Development Corporation (Hidco) has launched a floating restaurant to woo joy revelers. Hidco chairman Debashis Sen inaugurated the project at New Town Rajarhat on Tuesday. 

During winter, the floating restaurant will be opened at 4.30 pm. A person can buy ticket from the counter of Eco Park to enjoy sunst while travelling in the floating restaurant. Two non-veg and two veg starters and a welcome dish will be offered to the visitors. The time duration of the cruise will be one hour. The Hidco authorities are also considering a proposal of candle light dinner in the floating restaurant. The duration of the candle light dinner will be two hours at the cost of Rs 750 per person.  Food in the dinner will be served by Café Akanto.

The menu include Deshi style roasted chicken, special chicken tikka, gifi kebab of Dacca fame, Tengri kebab, Sultani kabab, stuffed pomphret and many others. 

To celebrate Christmas and New Year, Café Akanto has been given a new look with decorated colourful lights and paper lanterns. 

Sen said city residents prefer to go out during winter and Eco Park is now their favourite destination. He hoped that the floating restaurant and the food vailable at Café Akanto will be star attraction in the New Year.
