Heart patient dies during argument with neighbours

A 66-year-old man, with a history of heart ailment, died during a heated argument with three neighbours in outer Delhi’s Narela late on Friday. The victim has been identified as Bijender Verma, a resident of Prem Nagar. According to police, a call was made to the police control room regarding a verbal altercation between neighbours on the issue of construction of a road. When the local police reached the spot, Bijender complained of breathlessness. He was taken to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. There were no injury marks on Bijender’s body, but family members claimed he was beaten up by neighbours – Jagdish, Babli and Vicky. ‘Bijender’s post-mortem has been conducted and viscera samples have been sent to forensic science laboratory.

The exact cause of death can only be ascertained after we recieve the report,’ the police official added. ‘Further investigation is in process,’ said a police official.
