Police said, Lodon Khan, the accused teacher, allegedly harassed a girl in absence of the other students in the class. The victim girl then had complained the matter to her parents.
The parents then informed the matter to the local residents and the guardians’ committee of the school.
The guardians and the local residents rushed to the Kasturba Gandhi School to get a hold of the accused headmaster. They turned out in huge numbers in front of the gate of headmaster’s room.
Some of the infuriated guardians destroyed some school property there. They locked the main gate of the school and no teacher could come outside.
A police force reached the spot and rescued the accused headmaster. He was arrested there.
“Some guardians and teachers lodged FIR against the accused teacher. We’ll grill him about the incident,” said an investigating officer.
However, police have detained some of the guardians who had damaged school’s property.
“We have taken the version of guardians as well. Some guardians were unruly and vandalised the property of the school unnecessarily,” said the officer.
“We have had a chat with the victim girl as well. We have taken detailed information from her. She narrated how she was called up in an empty room,” said the police officer.
The guardians of the victim girl have decided to shift her to another school immediately.
