Head Constable hit by members of illegal liquor nexus

A Delhi Police head constable was severely injured when he was hit by a car, allegedly carrying illegal liquor, in Central Delhi’s Patel Nagar area on the wee hours of Friday. The driver of the car and another occupant were later arrested and around 29 cartons of liquor, allegedly procured from Haryana’s Bahadurgarh, were recovered, said a police official. According to the police, the injured head constable, Lal Singh, was part of a team which had received <g data-gr-id="16" style="color: #3b3b3b; font-size: 11px; background-color: white;">tip off</g> about the arrival of the alleged carriers of a local liquor mafia and was deployed strategically near Patel Chowk.
