Haryana govt to soon enact law to check cow slaughter

Haryana government will soon bring in a legislation to check incidents of cow slaughter, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Monday.
“Efforts will be made to bring a Bill in this regard in the next session of state assembly,” the Chief Minister said after meeting people in Yamunanagar. When asked about the problem of traffic congestion in the district, Khattar said that a ring road would be constructed for Yamunagar-Jagadhari.
In reply to another question, he said the BJP government in the state would fulfil all its promises made in the manifesto. Asked when the state government would give pay scale to government employees at par with that of Punjab, Khattar said that the previous Congress-led government in the state had “dug many pits which need to be filled”.
“The first priority of the government is to improve the fiscal position of the state,” he added.
