I am getting married in January but seeing the number of failed marriages around me I am feeling nervous. What do you think is a recipe for an everlasting marriage?

To achieve victory, soldiers endure extensive training prior to going into combat. Similarly, for a bride and groom, to achieve long-term marital success, the two must dedicate time for each other and plan a life time together. The plan should have built-in flexibility to maneuver through both expected and unexpected twists and turns. The following strategies might help you and your soon-to-be husband to develop a plan that establishes a course for ‘everlasting matrimony’ as husband and wife: a) Report for duty with a healthy sense of self-worth; b) In the heat of battle, cease fire; c) Heal casualties with forgiveness and compassion; d) Deploy humour to maintain steady ground; e) Determination is must for achieving victory.
We are married for four months now. Can you give us a guideline on the responsibility of both the partners? I want us to sail smoothly.

Many people take the institution of marriage as a tradition and a family norm. Marriage is not a ‘bed of roses’ as most people think it to be. It is a full time responsibility, starting from day one! Everything we do affects our relationship with our partner. We should not try to change one another. Yet, if we try to do so, we are being irresponsible. With the increasing complications of modern marriage, establishing responsibilities of daily life are too critical. Therefore, a candid discussion about the subject is not only critical but essential for the mental health of the married couple.
I can’t sleep for more than three hours at night! I assume I’m suffering from insomnia. Can you suggest a few effective ways that might be of help?

Make sure your bedroom is quiet, dark and cool. Noise, light, and heat can interfere with sleep. Try using earplugs to hide outside noise and sleep mask to block out light. Stick to a regular sleep schedule. Support your biological clock by going to bed and getting up at the same time every day, including weekends. Avoid naps. Limit caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine.
Do aphrodisiacs really work? My boyfriend and I are very curious.
Name unknown, Gurgaon
An aphrodisiac is a substance that increases sexual desire. Some foods have psychoactive properties, others arouse because they are psychologically suggestive, and some can actually increase blood flow to the genitals. I really think that love is the best of all.
