Happy to be working during pregnancy: Kareena

She is stepping into motherhood but actor Kareena Kapoor Khan says she is not taking a break from her work.

"I have been lucky. I can't comment for someone else. But I will pick and choose the best roles that are offered to me.

I don't look at Bollywood stereotypes. It's a myth. I do take rest. I rest at the night and work during the day,” Kareena said.

“Whichever role I do, I am not going to camouflage it on screen. I am proud of this phase (being pregnant) that I am in and there is nothing to hide about it.

“Whichever film I choose to do you will see me the way I am.

“Right now, I am working on dates so it all depends on how I feel,” she added.

Responding to the recent comment Rohit Shetty recently where he said he was hesitant to approach Kareena for Golmaal 4 as she is expecting her first child but they might do a song together.

When asked about it, Kareena said, "I am not thinking about that (referring to the song) right now. And why should Rohit be scared of me? In fact, I should be scared of him.

"Those who have a role for me can come up to me.

“I am proud of this phase. I am happy I will be doing work as I choose to be seen. Whichever film I do, I will do it the way I am.

“Right now we are figuring out the dates (for Veere Di Wedding).

Kareena said she will start working on Veere Di Wedding in October and then she will resume work again post her delivery in the month of December.

"I will go on with my normal life. I am passionate about acting.

“I love my job. Since the time I was in my mother's womb I wanted to be an actor.

“So I will continue acting till I am 80,” Kareena Kapoor Khan said.

The 35 year-old actor was talking at the product launch of Bblunt where Farhan Akhtar's ex-wife Adhuna Akhtar, the salon chain's founder and creative director was also present.

"I have never had a bad hair day.

“One must in every six weeks rejuvenate their hair,” she said, adding she had liked her look in Don and Jab We Met.

“The entire softness of Rosy in Taalash came out because of her hairstyle. Hair plays an important part in building a character,” she said.

For Kareena Kapoor Khan "the best compliment" till date by her actor-producer husband Saif Ali Khan is for her remix song ‘Yeh Mera Dil’ in the 2006-released Shahrukh Khan starrer Don.

Saif finds her sexy in the song. "The hairstyle for the song 'Yeh Mera Dil' was very sexy.

“And my husband always tells me even though you're overweight (in the song) you looked very sexy,” says  mother-to-be actor Kareena.

"That's the best compliment for me,” said Kareena at an event organised by Adhuna Bhabani's hair salon Bblunt.

The Heroine actor is paranoid about cutting her hair and thinks hair plays an important part for an actor to portray a role.

Kareena will soon be seen playing the lead role in Shashanka Ghosh's Veere Di Wedding, a rom-com co-starring Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania  besides Kareena Kappor Khan.

The movie Veere Di Wedding is about four women who embark on a trip from Delhi to Europe.
