Happy New Year script lands at Oscars

The filmmaker took to social networking website Twitter to share her joy and delight over the news and thanked her co-writers for penning the scrpit.
The heist drama, with dollops of dance and music, minted Rs.108.86 crore, becoming a movie with the biggest opening weekend at the box office in India.

The film had a starry ensemble with Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah and was released Oct 24, Farah Khan is one of the few female directors to carve a niche for herself with a number of successful films like Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om.
The filmmaker will be attending the closing ceremony of the 20th edition of the Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) Monday to showcase and emphasise women’s power.
