Haldia, Mahishadal to get science museums

In a unique initiative the State government is planning to set up two science museums at Mahishadal and Haldia in East Midnapore.

The state environment department will carry out the projects. The department will seek help from the Science Museum in Kolkata to construct the two proposed science museums in the district.  

The purpose of the new project would be to make the school students aware of the solar system and how the planets function and also about the animal world.  

The students will be imparted knowledge about the environmental issues.  

They will be told about the preventive measures our society can take against the ill effects of the 

pollutions. 

The two Science Museum which will come up at the two places are the first museum in the country to have diversified features to entertain the school children.

A senior official of the state environment department told media that such Museums will come up at Mahishadal Gopalpur High School and Haldia Barabajitpur Girls High School.
