Relieved to have got his voice back, Grammy-winning singer Sam Smith says he went through a "horrendous" time due to his vocal cord operation last month and communicated with people through his phone applications.
"I did use my phone, where you can type in what you want to say and it'll say it for you. But it doesn't swear a lot, which is really annoying!" he said.
"It was horrendous. It was so bad. But I got through and everyone's been so amazing about it, so thank you."Â
The Stay With Me singer is, however, advised not to sing at the moment, reported Contactmusic. "I've just been like singing in the shower and stuff,? he said of his recuperation.
