H1NI spectre looms over high & mighty

The latest to contract the H1N1 virus is the Lok Sabha member from Andhra Pradesh Araku Kothapalli Geetha soon after the former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot, tested positive for swine flu on Sunday. He has been down with high fever from Friday, after hectic campaigning for Delhi polls.
Apart from policymakers, doctors have also tested positive for the disease in the Capital.

The number of people who contracted the virus across the nation is hovering around 1,000-mark, with Delhi having the maximum of about 500 H1N1 virus cases. In Gujarat, which is the state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, swine flu fatalities have touched 38, while 39 new cases have been reported.

The other state which is in the grip of swine flu virus is Vasundhara Raje-ruled Rajasthan, which has reported  over 100 cases of H1N1 virus, including 39 deaths. Rajasthan has reported the highest number of casualties for swine flu in the country.
