H K Jaggi takes over as Eastern Railway GM

Harjeet Kumar Jaggi has taken over as general manager of Eastern Railway, Kolkata, in addition to GM, NF Railway (Con).  An officer of the Indian Railway Service of Civil Engineering (IRSE) of the 1978 batch, Jaggi graduated from Delhi College of Engineering in 1978. Prior to his assignment as General Manager, Eastern Railway, he had also worked as General Manager-Northeast Frontier Railway, Guwahati. At present, he is working as General Manager, Northeast Frontier Railway (Construction). He has held several important positions in the Ministry of Railways as Secretary, Railway Board, CAO (Con), Northern Railway, Principal Chief Engineer, North-Western Railway, Divisional Railway Manager, Ambala, Chief Bridge Engineer, Northern Railway, Western Railway and has also worked in Railway Coach Factory, Kapurthala.  

Jaggi has travelled widely on official assignments by the Railways to countries like Argentina, Belgium, China, France, Italy, Maxico, Russia, Singapore and the UK.
