Gzb cop killed by colleague

An on-duty Ghaziabad Police constable died after allegedly being shot at by his colleague. 30-year-old Sukhbir Singh was shot through a service gun by Umesh Yadav, who were on PCR duty. 

The incident took place in the Kavi Nagar area. Umesh is a constable from Kavi Nagar police station and is absconding with his service revolver after the incident. The incident took place on Thursday night after which Sukhbir Singh was rushed to a private hospital in Kavi Nagar but was later referred to Yashoda Hospital where he died during the treatment. 

Sukhbir was the driver of the PCR van and hails from Etah. “The injured constable was rushed to a private hospital but later he was referred to Yashoda hospital. He died while treatment on Friday morning at around 3am. We have registered a FIR against Umesh Yadav under section 302,” said Manish Kumar Mishra, Circle Officer, Ghaziabad police.
