CCTV cameras will be mandatory at all Gurgaon pubs and bars to ensure that those
under 25 years are not served liquor, a senior official said Tuesday.
Excise authorities have also decided to recommend the cancellation of the license to the Buzz-inn bar where over 100 school students were caught consuming liquor Sunday.
The bar was raided by police and the excise department. The pub owner and manager were arrested — they got bail — while the students were let off after being warned not to violate liquor laws again.
All the students reportedly belonged to a Gurgaon school, and the host was the son of a senior bureaucrat.
The decision to make CCTV cameras compulsory was taken at a meeting held under the chairmanship of Gurgaon police commissioner Alok Mittal.
