Gupta urges CM to provide civic amenities to residents

Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta on Monday urged Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to provide civic amenities to group housing societies and allow legislators to utilise MLA LAD.

“These residential societies pay all the taxes to Delhi <g data-gr-id="15">government</g> but no government agency provides civic amenities to them. I met the Chief Minister at his office and handed him over a memorandum demanding civic amenities in these areas on the pattern of DDA, SFS flats, apartments and colonies,” said Gupta.

He said the assistance from the government would bring much needed relief to the residents by providing civic facilities like concrete roads, street lighting, sewerage, sanitation and cleanliness, drainage system and maintenance of parks.

He requested Kejriwal to treat the residents of Group Housing Societies at par with DDA SFS flats, Central government, state government housing complexes for government employees and apartments and other areas of Delhi.
