Guinness record holder dies performing stunt

Sailen Nath Roy, who had made his way to the Guinness Book of World records for his stunts, died here on Sunday while performing a rope stunt over Teesta river at Sevoke near here. Roy (45) was crossing the turbulent river by hanging from a pulley tied to his ponytail this afternoon. The tragedy took place when the pulley got stuck and he could not move it despite attempts. The people helplessly watched him dying as he hung mid-air from the rope unable to move, the police said, adding, there were no safety measures in place.
