Gr Noida CEO among 60 IAS, IPS officers transferred

The Akhilesh Yadav-government has effected a major reshuffle involving over 60 IAS and IPS officers, including the CEO of Greater Noida and SSP of Gautam Buddha Nagar. The move came late on Saturday soon after the Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav asked the state administration to pull up its socks and said party leaders and bureaucrats should serve people instead of concentrating on making money.

Among the IAS officers, CEO Greater Noida Rama Raman has been relieved of the post, but would continue to hold the charge of NOIDA. Deepak Agarwal has been appointed as the new CEO of  Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).

1996-batch IAS officer of UP cadre and Secretary (Higher Education), Anil <g data-gr-id="21">Garg,</g> has been appointed as the new CEO of Greater Noida Authority. Sources claimed that appointment of a new chief of the Greater Noida Authority was expected for a long time as Raman was overburdened and had been demanding new appointments in the authority.

In another major transfer, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Gautam Buddh Nagar district, Preetinder Singh, has been shifted to Agra and he would be replaced by SSP-Jhansi Kiran S, a 2008-batch IPS officer and SSP of Jhansi district.

Recent incidents of crime in Noida is said to be behind Singh’s transfer. Rajesh Yadav has been appointed as the new Additional DM (Finance) in Gautam Buddh Nagar. Yadav was the city magistrate in Ghaziabad.
