Govt to give interest-free festival advances to employees

The state government will give interest free festival advance to its employees whose emoluments exceed Rs 25,000 per month, but do not exceed Rs 36,000.  Those who earn less than Rs 25000 monthly will be given an ad-hoc bonus of Rs 3400.

The maximum amount to be taken as advance is Rs 4,000. The advance would be deducted from their salaries in 10 equal monthly installments.  The recovery of the advance sanctioned will begin either from the salary for the month of November or from salary for the month following the month in which the advance is drawn. However, the recovery process should be completed by August 2017. Persons who will enter the state government service after March 31, 2016 but before October 1 will get the advance. 

The advance will be made available to the Muslim employees by June 30 and other employees  between September 21 and September 29.
