Govt to create Welfare Fund for auto drivers

The Delhi government on Monday said that it will create ‘Welfare Fund’ for auto-rickshaw drivers operating in the national Capital. The decision was taken at a meeting with auto-rickshaw drivers held at Delhi Secretariat. According to a senior government official, Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai has asked the Traffic Police to not challan auto drivers for parking their vehicles around ‘Halt & Go’ stand in the Capital.
