‘Govt six months old, but will fulfill promises’

UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that his government might just be six months old but it was trying to fulfill all promises it had made during elections because people had voted Samajwadi Party to power based on these very promises.

Addressing a function organised at his native village of Saifai in Etawah district, Akhilesh distributed allowance to unemployed youth and scholarships. Yadav said that his government was committed to provide employment to the youth.

‘We have formulated a progressive looking Industrial policy and had invited business houses to set up shops in Uttar Pradesh. Till we give employment to youth, my govt will give unemployment allowance to them,’ he said.

During elections SP had promised that if voted back to power it would give unemployment allowance to youth between the age group of 25 and 40 years.

‘We have fulfilled our poll promise. My govt is just six month old but we are trying to formulate pro-people policies,’ Yadav said.

CM also announced that his govt would distribute laptops and tablet computers to class XII and class X pass students within a month and a half.
