Govt forms flying squads for Chunauti 2018

The Directorate of Education has constituted 17 Flying Squads from its officers with DDE Zones as head of the teams and two SPEs/DEOs from other Zones to assist them during examinations for checking the effective implementation and enforcement of zero tolerance during the examinations.

The department has identified 127 schools for centralised inspection. The Delhi government Education Directorate has confirmed saying: “We have undertaken a stupendous task in a mission mode, named ‘Chunauti-2018.”

The objective is to significantly improve the learning levels of students studying in classes VI to IX of government schools in Delhi. “The first semester end examinations (Summative Assessment-I) under the ‘Chunauti-2018’ are being held during September19-October 4, 2016,” said Education department officials.

Directorate of Education (DEO) has made massive arrangements for making exams an effective tool of assessment.

“Separate question papers have been set for ‘Nishtha’ and ‘Pratibha’ groups of classes VI to VIII students, as per the syllabi covered by them. Regular classes are simultaneously being held along with the examinations for Vishwas group of class IX class,” said DE director.

Apart from multiple online circulars, all heads of schools were addressed by the Director of Education on August 5, 2016 explaining ‘Chunauti-2018’ and emphasising the need to focus to bring children lagging in academics to a level where they can read and write fluently and effortlessly.
