Gour Banga University postpones exams, Biman urges CU to do the same

University of Gour Banga has decided to postpone BA, BSC, B.Com Honours and Pass course examination due to the elections.

Senior officials of the university said that second year honours and pass examinations were scheduled to take place on March 21 and 22. 

Keeping in mind the election schedule the university authorities have decided to postpone the schedule of the examinations. 

The first year Honours and pass examinations in all the three streams will be started from May 31, whereas the examinations for the second year will begin on May 30. 

The university authorities announced that the examinations will be finished by July 15.

It may be mentioned that Calcutta University on Monday denied the students’ demand for the postponement of the applications, despite the students’ agitations. 

Biman Bose on Wednesday urged the University to take the elections into account and asked for the rescheduling of the exams.

Meanwhile, the Central School Service Commission on Wednesday announced the commencement of the filling up of online application forms. 

According to the previous notifications the candidates were asked to fill up online forms till March 15. The filling up of online application forms was started from Wednesday. 

According to the notification issued by the Central School Service Commission the applicants must submit their fees seven days after filling up of online application forms. 

The candidates will be able to see the status of the online fee submission seven days hence.
