Give your saris a make over this Summer

Is corset and sari a good option for me to attend my husband’s colleagues wedding party? The theme is Indian, and I wanted to dress edgy and differently. Please help.
Well, the idea of teaming a sari with corset is nothing new, and not edgy as well. But be sure that you have a body to flaunt first, or else layers of cellulite or not so well taken care of shoulder will just ruin the entire look. Also you must check the comfort factor while wearing a corset. On the other hand if you want to dress edgy, try teaming a waistcoat or a cropped jacket in a lighter fabric with your sari.
I have this old printed chiffon, passed on to me by my mom. Though the sari has been worn many times, but is still in great condition. Is there a way to give it a new look?
While printed chiffons are the best choice for summers, but I can understand the mindset in trying to give the sari a new look. I can only think of adding a few interesting borders to the nine yards of beauty. And with years of usage if you think the base colour has faded, then you might dye it in a nearby shade as well. Well, sundress can be a nice option for shorter torso as well. The trick is to end it over the knee or to choose a drop waist style. Flats or heels anything can be teamed, but keep the accessories to a bare minimum, keeping the summer spirit alive!
What kind of blouses and accessories can I team with printed shorts?
A classic combo of a georgette shirt with a classic waistcoat, teamed with a studded sling, stacked up bangles can be a very edgy look for this season. Colour blacking your upper wear will bring out the beauty of the printed shorts. A statement accessory will be a nice choice.
Are white jeans still in fashion? I had bought them years back, but haven’t worn them much yet.
White jeans can always be worn keeping in mind the place and if its white! Since most people do not maintain their whites properly, so the colour tends to fade away. White denims are always a sign of relaxed fashion, try wearing them a bit baggy style.
