Governor further said that by using this system in Delhi, we have taken two important decisions, one is to conserve the whole Yamuna riverbed (O-zone) biodiversity stretch in the complete 46 km measuring about 7,000 hectares. There will be lawns, trees and  ponds. First part of this development, which is situated above Wazirabad barrage, has transformed couple of 100 acres of land into flourishing forest area with 1,000 species of trees. this now attracts migratory bird. The second project is  being developed in the Aravali ridge, Aravali biodiversity park, which is just at the edge of Vasant Vihar. Trees of different species have been planted.

Addressing the students, Khanna stated that education has two components, one is to impart skills and knowledge and the other is to strengthen the ethical value system.

Governor added, ‘If you give up your commitment of core value system of total honesty, integrity, spirit of tolerance to your fellow beings, you are going to get much lower returns in your life, than if you stick to a core value system’.

He also said India has been blessed with the finest intellectual resources in the world.
