Girl jumps from third floor of mall in West Delhi, dies

A girl jumped from the third floor of the City Square Mall in West Delhi. She was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved.

In a tragic incident on Tuesday evening, a girl who has been identified as Shubhangni (21), came to the Mall in Rajouri Garden with one of her male friend and jumped from the third floor. She fell on the concrete floor inside the mall. She was immediately rushed to a private hospital by people who were present in the mall but she died while being treated in the hospital.

The incident was reported at around 4 pm when Shubangni came to the mall along with a male friend. It is said that the two were talking to each other. Later, the girl went to the washroom and was talking over the phone. It is said that she jumped from the third floor. She sustained severe head injuries and could not be saved.

“The girl was from Tilak Nagar. We have collected the CCTV from the mall to know the exact sequence of events. We are also questioning the boy with whom she came to the mall,” said DCP West, Vijay Kumar.

To verify the exact cause why the girl jumped, the cops are questioning her male friend along with the people who were present in the mall at the time of the incident.
