Girl dies in a freak incident

Vidhi was playing at her home by tying one end of a dupatta with a curtain rod and forming a noose from the other end of it and tying around her neck, a senior police officer said.

She was alone at her home and her parents were out, he said.

When her mother returned, she found Vidhi in an unconscious state and informed the neighbours who contacted police, police said.

She had a habit of playing by tying a dupatta knot around her neck and she had been cautioned against doing so by her parents, they said.

Police isn't suspecting any foul play as of now in the matter, police added.
