Ggn shootout: 1 more in police net

In connection with the Gurgaon gang war that left one dead and another critically injured on Sunday, Gurgaon Police have arrested one more accused on Monday morning.

According to the police, the arrested has been identified as Sanjit, a resident of Akbarpur, Rohtak. During the investigation and following the leads, the police also recovered two country-made revolvers and two live cartridges.

The other suspects — Durgesh and Manoj, who were arrested on Sunday, have been sent to two days’ police custody on Monday. The police recovered a revolver and a pistol which were used in the shooting by the accused. The two have been booked for attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy and under sections of the Arms Act. According to the information received, the crime branch was prompted about the possible gang war between the Sandeep Gadoli gang and the Binder Gujjar gang. Ever since the incident, the police stations and the crime units have been conducting raids in the areas of Arjun Nagar, where both the gangs have “major stakes”.

“The shooters had managed to run away after hearing the PCR van’s siren. Only after a chase for about a kilometre, the two were arrested of the Binder Gujjar gang”, said an official.

According to sources, members of the Binder Gujjar gang were behind the attack on Manish as a sign of revenge.
