Gehlot opens rehab centre in Delhi

Announcing that all sorts of financial assistance would be provided to institutions working for the rehabilitation of weaker sections of the society, Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Thawar Chand Gehlot on Monday said the process of implementing an uniform ID has already been started and all steps are being taken to complete the same within a year-and-a-half.

Inaugurating hydrotherapy unit, dormitory, gait laboratory, modular operation theatre at the Swami Vivekanad National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research Centre, Gehlot said “The Centre would provide all possible assistance to the institute. The hospital will be upgraded from 100 beds to 200 bed considering the long waiting period of patients.”

He added: “All wards and rooms would be made air-conditioned for patients and we will ensure smooth discharge of services by the staff.” 

Gehlot was accompanied by his junior colleague Krishan Pal Gurjar. Foundation stone for satellite centre in Balangir was laid by the minister.
