Trinamool Congress MP Mukul Roy on Sunday urged the leaders and workers of the political party to gear up for the forthcoming Assembly elections and claimed that the Trinamool Congress will do a far better result in the elections even if some political parties form an alliance.

Roy said the Trinamool Congress is in a position to get a large percentage of votes. If someone compares the result of the last elections, it will be clear that the Trinamool Congress will win by a high margin.

He had a discussion with the party workers for around half an hour at party office in Dharampur. He had discussions about various aspects of the party.

Sources said that he predicted that the result for the party in the district will be better in the forthcoming Assembly elections.

Thus he asked the workers and leaders to gear up for the same.

On Sunday, he visited a Kali temple at Jhitka. From Jhitka he had left for Lalgargh in West Midnapore.

After spending some minutes in Lalgarh, he visited Dharampur.

He met many of his followers there. The party workers and leaders requested him to spend some time in a party office. Accepting their request Roy spent some time in the party office and had discussions with the leaders there.

Roy went to Belpahari straight from Dharampur and there too he met some leaders and supporters of the Trinamool Congress.

In the evening, Roy reached Jhargram, from where he will start his journey on Monday.

Roy is scheduled to go to Bankura on Monday after visiting a place called Chilkigarh in West Midnapore.
