Gayle should have made 10-ball 50: Yuvraj

Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh is disappointed with Chris Gayle for equalling his record for the fastest T20 half-century as he had expected the West Indian swashbuckler to break it.

"I'm disappointed @henrygayle who got to fifty in 12 balls (.) Kaka make sure u get it in ten balls next time ???? or maybe @ABdeVilliers17 legends," Yuvraj has tweeted on Gayle's knock in the Big Bash League in Australia.

Gayle hit seven sixes and two fours during his blistering 12-ball knock, in just 17 balls with a phenomenal strike-rate of 329.41. He was finally dismissed for 56. The 36-year-old opener's blitz also smashed the Big Bash record for the fastest fifty from 18 balls, which was jointly held by Tim Ludeman and Chris Lynn.

Yuvraj had set the record in 2007 during the T20 World Cup against England in Durban.
