Gauhar Khan has a sweet tooth

Events like weddings, house warming, inaugurations, receptions are just a few among  the many functions that we north Indians celebrate unmatched enthusiasm. We invite family, friends, relatives, acquaintance, everyone! And then there is an inflow of gifts! Lots of them! Among the variety, there is one that stands common, Sweets! From kuch meetha ho jaye to 'try this lovely shondesh', we love sweets!

We were a part of one such wedding like inaugural ceremony of a sweet shop, Kesar. Wondering how can Dilli walas celebrate without some glamour? It was Gauhar Khan who added the tadka. At the launch of Kesar, she cut a fabulous cake and congratulated the whole team of the Kesar's for creating an unprecedented concept in India. In her address to the audience, Gauhar said, ‘I used to feel nostalgic about Dubai; my hometown, just for my cravings toward Arabic sweets and Turkish delights. With the launch of Kesar's these nostalgic feelings come to an end and I am more than cherished to find these zero calories sweets here in Delhi’.Kesar's sweets baskets comprises 250 varieties of designer sweets, 120 types of Arabic sweets, more than 50 types of Turkish delights and around 70 types of imported Swiss and Italian chocolates.

Located right next to the most loved Gulaab store in Pitampura, we still need to see how the store does!
