Gaga works on Artpop follow-up

Pop star Lady Gaga has confirmed that the follow-up to her last year's album ARTPOP is in the works.

The 28-year-old Born This Way singer revealed the project and described how it would sound like in an interview, reported Ace Showbiz. “I want the fans to be surprised, but I will just tell you that it's a wonderful, soul-searching experience,” she said.

She went on saying that the record, which she worked on while on tour, would be different from its predecessor, “It's very unlike the last album in that way. I made that album on the road. ARTPOP was, you know, the acid-making record. And this record is like - my old self as a cadaver. And I'm just, I'm operating on my old self.”

ARTPOP was released in November 2013. Despite landing directly at No 1 on Billboard 200, the album has been considered as a flop as it fails to match the sales of Gaga's previous LP, 2011's Born This Way.
