Friends of judge’s slain wife block Gurgaon Expressway

Holding candles, relatives and friends of Geetanjali, the slain wife of a Gurgaon judge, blocked the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway for 45 minutes here on Sunday evening and demanded the arrest of her killers, police said.

Deputy commissioner of police (West) Surender Pal Singh said the protestors converged at Rajiv
Chowk around 7.30 pm and stopped all traffic on the road, putting motorists to inconvenience. They were allowing only emergency vehicles like
ambulances to pass.

Intervention by sub-divisional magistrate Satender Duhan, along with police, restored traffic on the expressway around 8.15 pm, an official said.
Geetanjali’s body, with three gunshot wounds on chin, chest and stomach was found on 17 July evening near a play ground in crowed police lines campus.
Her husband’s licensed revolver was found near the body. A murder case was registered.
