‘Frequent disruptions in RS create bad impression’

Vice-President and Rajya Sabha chairman M Hamid Ansari on Saturday said frequent disruptions in the Upper House create a bad impression in the public mind and asked the members to adhere to the allocated time of the proceedings. Inaugurating a two-day orientation programme for the newly-elected members of the Rajya Sabha on Saturday, the Vice-President pointed out that frequent disruptions impinge upon the privileges of other members. He emphasised on brevity and time management and called upon the members “not to violate the allocated time” while participating in the proceedings. He urged the members to conduct themselves in a way which is not unparliamentary.
