Four killed in Nepal landslide

A Spanish national was among four persons killed in a landslide on the popular Manaslu trekking route in Nepal, authorities said on Thursday. Besides, four foreigners, including a woman, were injured in the landslide. They have been taken to Kathmandu for treatment, The Himalayan Nation reported. 

A Spanish national, a mountaineering guide and two other Nepalese were killed, according to Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Bhatta. Two police teams have been deployed in <g data-gr-id="13">Keramja</g> village of Gorkha district to rescue the injured.

However, the continuous landslide has made it difficult to dig out the bodies, Bhatta added. Efforts are on to airlift the injured to Kathmandu for treatment, he said.
